Erik W. Ray

Mr. Ray founded Independence Commercial Real Estate in 2017 and currently oversees all commercial real estate operations and business development initiatives for the firm. In 2024, Mr. Ray celebrated 20-years in the commercial real estate business.

Prior to founding Independence, Mr. Ray led the tenant representation platform at Charter Real Estate, where he played a key role in expanding the firm’s service offerings. He also held a position at ProVentures, managing and leasing a family office-owned portfolio of industrial properties, NAI and Scott Brown Commercial of Denton, Texas where he gained experience in commercial leasing, sales and property management.

Mr. Ray holds a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Communication and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of North Texas. He is a licensed real estate broker in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida, and is an active member of CCIM, ICSC, and the Central Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.

In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Ray is actively involved in the Salvation Army of Bell County and Our Hospice House - Central Texas. Erik, his wife Erin, and their three children live in Salado, Texas.
